Meet your guide

"Get out to go in." ~Vicki Zacharewicz

Hi there! I am a Kripalu trained Mindful Outdoor Guide and a RYT200 Yoga teacher in Hatha and Vinyasa yoga. I believe wholeheartedly that nature is a healer.

People that access nature are healthier and happier. This belief is backed by science. In many countries, people are often given a prescription for forest bathing to help a myriad of social ills including high blood pressure, anxiety, depression, high cortisol levels, attention deficit disorder and PTSD.

Getting outside in a safe manner and moving your body along natural ground can reignite a spark from within that is essential for our well-being as humans.

Sharing Yoga with others is blessing for me. It has been practiced for thousands of years and recent scientific research has proven that slow mindful yoga can help people with fatigue, depression, anxiety, chronic pain and can foster self-acceptance. Studies show that decreasing stress is key to weight management.

When I'm not practicing yoga or wandering in the woods, I enjoy anything related to plants, traveling with my husband and spending time with our rescue pup. I also serve on the board of Tamarack Hollow Nature and Cultural Center in Windsor, MA and volunteer for Berkshire Natural Resources Council and Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health.
